What does the treatment consist of?
Stem cells extracted from one’s own fat are used for regenerative surgery in other specialties such as cardiovascular surgery (for myocardial infarctions) and in traumatology in surgeries performed on athletes who suffer muscle, tendon, and joint injuries. Stem cells allow for rapid regeneration and improve the survival of damaged tissue. In the case of plastic surgery, stem cells extracted from one’s own fat allow for aesthetic treatments to increase volume and regenerate skin in the areas where they are injected. The treatment carries no risks or complications since the stem cells are obtained from one’s own body fat, extracted through liposuction.

What is the difference with fillings made with your own fat but without stem cells?
Fillers made with the patient’s own fat alone produce very satisfactory and, in some cases, definitive results. However, the surgery typically requires one or two more repeats to achieve a good result, because 30-40% of the injected fat disappears. When the patient’s own fat is combined and enriched with the patient’s own stem cells, the survival rate of the fat graft is very high, providing a stable final result.
Stem cell concentrate mixed with the patient’s own fat also has regenerative properties in the injected tissues.
