It’s true that patients who have undergone blepharoplasty to improve the tired appearance of their eyelids and eyes are very annoyed and dissatisfied with the results of their “round eyes,” “fish eyes,” or “sad eyes.” In most cases, this is due to excessive skin removal, especially on the lower eyelids. The result is downward retraction of the eyelashes and an external angle that loses its oblique appearance and becomes rounded, with an unsightly exposure of the sclera (the white of the eye). How long does it take for the eyelids to return to normal?
In three months . For three days, the eyelids are very swollen, and you should stay home. Five days after surgery, the stitches are removed from the upper eyelids (the lower eyelids do not have stitches because they are operated on internally). The bruises disappear completely between days 8 and 14 after surgery . The swelling decreases week by week until the third month, when the appearance is completely normal.
What is the postoperative care?
